La Roque Haute

La Roque Haute is a beautiful 18th century farmhouse in an idyllic rural location in the Dordorgne. Positioned in a two acre plot with views across the valley, it is a delightfully secluded spot for a holiday.

The property has six double (or twin) bedrooms and five bathrooms, split over two buildings. The main farmhouse holds a large kitchen diner and a double-height living room - comprising a sitting area and grand fireplace alongside a formal dining area. There are two bedrooms with en suite shower rooms and a further bedroom, bathroom and additional toilet. There is a also a laundry area.

A converted barn hosts three further bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom and the other two sharing a jack and jill bathroom. At the base of this building is a garage where outside furniture and pool toys are stored.

There are two outside dining areas and a private pool. The pigeonnier (a converted pigeon tower, typical of local architecture) is an ideal spot for a sundowner, its elevated position giving superb views from which to enjoy the sunset.

Bergerec Airport is just over an hour by car, 47 miles from the house. La Roque is a quiet hamlet, with just four other properties in the vicinity. The closest town is Cazals, ten minutes' drive away, with bakery, a small supermarket, cafes, market etc.
